The Greenwood Car Show is back for its 18th year, celebrating fantastic cars and memories. This year will mark many new experiences; including a hydroplane display, a Beatles tribute band, and being a Seafair Sanctioned Community Event. Please take a look around our website to learn about all the great stuff we will have happening this year!
The Greenwood Car Show is not only about classic and hot rods, but about the Greenwood neighborhood. Last year we donated $10,000 back to the community, to the Greenwood Food Bank and Greenwood Senior Center. About half of your entry fees went to help these great community causes. We are partnering with the Food Bank, part of Volunteers of America for a can food drive. Please bring a few non-perishable items with you to the show this year to help out those in need.
Come join us for the 18th Annual Greenwood Car Show on Saturday June 26, 2010. This year will be the most exciting Greenwood Car Show yet. Greenwood will be expanding from 67th to 90th, packed with perhaps up to a thousand cars this year and thousands of spectators. There will be many new exciting things at Greenwood this year. One of them will be a Vintage Hydroplane display put on by the Hydroplane and Raceboat Museum, located in Kent, WA. This great display will be held in the lower Safeway parking lot. We will also be hosting The Nowhere Men Beatles Tribute Band, Perry Acker, and The Greenwood All*Stars. Our Kids Zone, dozens of vendors, LJ the DJ, and presentation of vintage fire trucks from The Last Resort Fire Department will fuel the imagination and turn back the clock for a nostalgic experience unlike any other.
This also marks the first time ever that the Greenwood Car Show is a Seafair Sanctioned Community Event! It seems like a natural fit, as both summer celebrations are a piece of Puget Sound history. Also, last year was the first year that the Greenwood Car Show donated its proceeds to local charities and we will be doing the same this year. Last year, we raised $10,000; $8000 went to the Greenwood Food Bank, part of Volunteers of America. We also donated $2000 to the Greenwood Senior Center. About $14 of your $25 registration went straight to the charities. This year we will also be doing a canned food drive, so please bring your non-perishables to drop off with the food bank.
We will also be having a fundraiser breakfast for the Greenwood Senior Center the morning of the show; all proceeds will benefit the Greenwood Senior Center. The Greenwood Knights car club of Seattle has generated new life into the Greenwood Car Show and we hope to see you or your car club out at the 2010 Greenwood Car Show!
Its that time of the year when the sun starts coming out and everyone is thinking about all the summer fun at car shows! If you are familiar with Greenwood, you might know that the show can sell out. Last year marked possibly the best GCS in history and the event did sell out. Although we are planning to expand the show for greater capacity this year, we anticipate that this will also be a sell-out year. We encourage you to pre-register your car in order to insure that you will be able to attend. It also makes coming through the gate a snap. Simply print off the form below and mail in with your payment and we will have you on our pre-registered list.
Vehicle Pre-registration is $25 for cars/trucks, $15 for motorcycle. Additional $5 on the day-of. Also, we are doing a can food drive for the Greenwood Food Bank. Please bring two or three non-perishable items to help those in need. About half of your entry will go to local Greenwood charities, thank you!
If you are in a car club and would like to come in and park as a group, we ask that you have ten or more cars, collect your registration forms and mail them in along with a single check together.
For Vendor and Sponsor participation, please see our Partners page.
The Greenwood Car Show would not be possible if it were not for our fantastic Sponsorship and Vendor partners. These are the folks that financially provide for the show to be possible and provide some great value to the community. Below are links to some of our show partners:
